Pip is a bit of an odd duck. I hatched her in June and she grew up in my back pen. Somehow every morning she managed to find a way to get through the fence and into the main pen. Once there, the flock seemed to accept her but she never made any friends. She spent the days foraging on her own.

Pip never found a way to get back to her pen, so each evening she waited patiently for me to open the gate, so she could get back to the coop. One rainy night I was a bit late to open the gate so she went into the main coop and there she’s stayed. She sleeps by herself and still doesn’t have any friends. No one picks on her, she’s just a bit of a loner.
